Moria migrants: Fire destroys Greek camp leaving 13,000 without shelter
Christina and I have visited this camp and seen these refugees with our own eyes. These were people in limbo, purgatory, between Asia and Europe. It would notsurprise me that the Greeks on Lesvos island committed arson against this intractable problem. But as far as I know, there is no evidence yet. The Greeks despised the immigrants, and the immigrants despised the residents of Mytilini–the major city on the island. This whole situation was a tinder box from the beginning. Remember all the life vests on the beach? This is Lesvos nine miles from Turkey. Lesvos is literally an island between Asia and Europe.
America is to blame for this also. In our lust for dismembering Syria and Iraq on behalf of the Zionists in Israel and the UK, we displaced human beings and scattered them to the wind. These were people who could not go back home but also couldn’t move on to Europe. The residents of Lesvos were literally stuck with the situation, and the refugees were stranded with nowhere to go. Thus the inferno. We must wake up to the damage the American government and the military are causing in the Middle East. Most Americans think our military is there to promote “democracy” and bring “freedom” to the “oppressed.” No, not at all. We are there to deconstruct Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen–Rumsfeld admitted to this under the Bush administration. This is about oil and the Zionists’ insatiable appetite for more land, more water, more natural resources. But, in reality, it is more death, more destruction, more displacement on behalf of a particular ideology. Lesvos is Paradise–it’s my favorite place in the world. Truly. Our senseless military and political actions from America have turned a paradise into a literal inferno for millions of human beings.
